Tel.Ap = telescope aperture.   ObCode = Observer Code.   UT -> UT = UT range when target is observable (above 20 degree elevation; declination = +30 deg for NH observers; declination = -30 deg for SH observers).

Figure 1. Observer locations, as of 2011.08.15.

UT Ranges for Observers

Here's a table showing the UT range for each observer (in mid-September). It assumes that targets will be at a declination of +40 degrees and observations will occur when the target is above 20 degrees elevation (air mass = 3). It also assumes that our targets are chosen so that they transit at local midnight.

Figure 2. Observable UT range for each observer during late September for target DE = +30 deg (limited by dawn to dusk interval). (Exception: Southern Hemisphere observers range is for DE = -30 deg.)

The above figure shows a possible "gap" at UT ~ 13 hrs, between California and India. Either Hawaii or Japan would fill that gap (we're working on it).

Co-authorship of publications will take into account the total number of LC hours submitted as well as LC quality.
