XLS Spreadsheets and Miscellaneous File Download Page

Excel has many configuration possibilities and the spreadsheets downloadable from this web page may not work for you.
If you download one of these spreadsheets (or other files) "you're on your own."

This is where I maintain spreadsheets referred to in the book Exoplanet Observing for Amateurs.

EPHEM_BTE                Transit ephemeris generating spreadsheet for 54 BTEs  (updated 2010.01.19). Shows observable status of ingress, mid & egress for all BTEs. No longer supported

BTE List                         List of basic properties of all 61 "bright transiting exoplanets"  with simple ephemeris for transit date & time (updated 2010.06.24 UT) - Sporadically supported

LCas template                Labor-intensive processing of imported CSV-files based on using an "artificial star." This spreadsheet is used to select which "chk" stars to use for reference and then produce a LC plot (updated 2010.01.21).
Includes BTE up to #46  - Not supported, sorry.

LCep template               Labor-intensive processing of imported CSV-file that uses stars for reference (not the artificial star). This spreadsheet is used to produce LC plots (updated 2009.09.09). It's meant to be used with either ensemble photometry or comp/chk photometry.

Exoplanet Size Model   An amateur's way of estiamting exoplanet size from LC parameters (crude, but fun) - No longer supported

64x64_AS.dll               Artificial Star plug-in, courtesy Ajai Sehgal (use "Save to disk" option). Note: MaxIm DL v4.59 has a plug-in bug that has been fixed with v4.60 (released August 3).

Landolt Stars                Text file of 1259 Landolt stars with B, V, Rc and Ic magnitudes, for doing all-sky photometry (SDB&DAT files).
Unzip both to a directory, run TheSky, Data/SkyDatabaseManager, navigate to that directory, highlight the SDB-file & Add.
(It shouldn't be necessary to Import the DAT-file, Define & compile.)

Henden Stars                Text file of 2551 stars that Arne Henden measured (at least 4 times) with B, V, Rc and Ic magnitudes, for doing all-sky photometry (SDB&DAT files).
Unzip both to a directory, etc (see above). Note: Arne's mag's appear to exhibit better internal consistency than Landolt mag's (more recent measurements).

Coming soon                Arne Henden's larger database of all-sky photometry results.
